Engineering responsibilities include development, implementation, and
administration of the plant’s annual and long-term capital plans with
support from Corporate Engineering. Develop, implement, and leads change
strategies to optimize business performance at the plant level. Applies
lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools including Value Stream
Mapping, Kaizens, and Center-lining events to deliver operational
improvements and/or cost reduction benefits manages and drives Lean Six
Sigma projects from conceptualization through implementation. Train
employees in the proper use of Lean Six Sigma tools and assists plant
teams in projects related to Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
Develops and use key metrics to monitor progress and performance;
reviews results with management and makes ongoing recommendations for
improvement. Act as a change agent to instill Lean Six Sigma culture at
the plant level. Prefer minimum of 7 years of previous engineering and
OE/change management experience in a manufacturing environment. 3-5
years of direct experience successfully leading and implementing process
improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing principles; Six
Sigma tools; and visual factory/5S programs. Certification as a Lean Six
Sigma Master Black Belt or the ability to teach Black Belt
certification.
